Project Overview:

Croquet Queensland is hosting "Croquet & High Tea," a statewide event on International Women’s Day, as part of the Women & Girls Active Programme. The event will involve up to 42 participating clubs and serve as a platform for growing long-term membership.

We are seeking a designer to create a visually striking and cohesive design theme inspired by 1930s travel posters. This theme will not only support this specific event but also be adaptable for future high tea events and broader croquet campaigns. The goal is to establish a timeless design identity that highlights the elegance, sociability, and inclusivity of croquet while building a long-term collaboration with the designer.

As part of our commitment to supporting the Queensland community, we strongly prefer engaging a local Queensland-based designer or artist for this project.

Deliverables:

1. Primary Poster Design:
   • A 1930s-inspired artwork featuring a croquet setting and a high tea theme.
   • Incorporate the tagline: "Join us for Croquet & High Tea on International Women’s Day" (with flexibility for alternative taglines in future events).
   • Allow editable sections for club-specific details (date, time, location).
2. Reusable Design Templates:
   • Social media templates (square, vertical, and horizontal formats).
   • Flyer and postcard templates that can be customised for various events.
   • Web banners for the Croquet Queensland website.
   • Branding assets (colour palette, typography, and design elements) to ensure consistency across all future materials.
3. Flexibility for Reuse:
   • The design system should enable easy updates for future events, such as new dates, themes, or clubs.
4. File Formats:
   • High-resolution files for print.
   • Editable files (e.g. Canva-compatible formats) for internal updates.

• Theme: Nostalgic elegance, sociability, inclusivity, and community.
• Inspiration: 1930s travel posters – bold, vibrant colours, graceful illustrations, and art deco typography.
• Imagery: Women enjoying croquet and high tea, lush greens, pastel tones, and a sense of leisure and charm.
